I had never heard of the Third Man Factor phenomenon before, so I found it interesting to learn about it. The many anecdotes were useful to know that this is not an isolated experience. I particularly found it compelling when multiple people in a group experienced it at the same time. From my perspective as a scientist, I am compelled to believe that it is because of neurological factors rather than spiritual happenstances. I personally haven't experienced it. I give it 6/10! It reminded me also of Deep Survival by Laurence Gonzales.
